About Us
How did this all start?
EZ Tree was founded by a Daddy Daughter duo.
While waiting for the bus one morning, we noticed a bunch of acorns with little squiggly things coming out of them. Turns out, those little squiggly things were roots! We stuck them in some dirt and next thing you know, we had a bunch of little oak trees growing.
What else can we grow? As it turns out, a lot! We started collecting seed from different pinecones, the little helicopters from maple trees (which we later learned are called Samaras), and just about anything we could get our hands on.
A couple of years later, our hands are dirty, and our yard is full of beautiful little seedlings of all different kinds. And that's when the 8-year-old had an idea. Dad, should we sell some of these?
Our Trees
All of the tress we grow are native to the State of Michigan. Our focus will be on red and white oak, verities of maple, chestnut, different species of pine and spruce and possibly black walnut and hickory. Basically, anything we can find while on a hike or in our neighborhood. We try to grow everything from seed we collect ourselves.
Our Mission
We think trees are pretty cool. Thats why it's our mission to grow and help plant as many as we possibly can. We're still learning and if you are too, check out the Arbor Day foundation over at www.arborday.org. We donate a portion of our proceeds every year to them because they think trees are pretty cool too!
